Ski Big Tupper
Hemlock Ledge Camp is only minutes away from one of the nations most unusual ski attractions.
The mission of the Big Tupper Ski Area re-opening project is to provide a basic, no frills, affordable ski/snowboarding experience for individuals and families. The project at Big Tupper is a locally initiated, volunteer based, not-for-profit venture. Volunteers and community minded citizens are at the heart and soul of Big Tupper.
When you stay at Hemlock Ledge and ski at Big Tupper you will be part of this unusual ski experience.
Big Tupper is one of New York's most unique ski areas. Located in Tupper Lake, with a base elevation of 2000′ and a 1,151-foot vertical drop, Big Tupper offers an authentic Adirondack ski experience.
This season we welcome you to experience Ski Big Tupper. We have more to offer this yeaa. In addition to Chair Lift 2 and the Mitey Mite beginner lifts, our dedicated volunteers have worked hard to open Chair Lift 3. This provides access to most all of the Big Tupper ski trails. From beginner to expert, the Big Tupper ski experience will be one you won’t soon forget.
Another great advantage for skiers:
Hemlock Ledge is located at the foot to Mount Morris (aka Big Tupper). The ski lift is only two miles from your lodging! You can ski in the morning, go home for lunch and be ready to hit the slopes again after lunch.
